Value the Gift of Today…
Today is the perfect day to start that business. It’s the perfect day to let go of that grudge. It’s the perfect day to go back to school. Every day that we have the ability to open our eyes is a perfect day to get things right. Not to sound morbid, but the next day, hour, or minute is not promised, which makes the old saying true, why put off until tomorrow what you can do today? The option to live another day is not ours to have, but it is surely a blessing to receive and we owe it to our Creators, both earthly and heavenly to live each day given to its fullest. Our Angels want us to plan for our future but to also make the most of the present simply because God gave us the free will to do so. No, I am not the most religious person in the world, hell I am far from it. However, spirituality lives in all of us and when we tap into ours receiving and sharing the lessons learned is a part of the growing process. In light of the transitions of life please remember to Value the Gift of Today because you may not make it to the Day You’re looking forward to.
Sure we all have life landmarks that we love to commemorate. Things like the 16th, 21st, 40th birthdays, or the anniversaries, births and promotions in our travels are always things we look forward to celebrating. Usher said in a song, “On the road to riches don’t forget to stop and take pictures.” I take that to mean Live in your life’s moments as to not watch them pass you by. I am simply reminding you to not forget about celebrating to sunrises and sunsets, the breezes and the raindrops, the loving gazes and the tearful sentiments of existing in a world where most focus only on the bad and the ugly. Each day is a chance to find the good, the pleasant and the love and oftentimes in the wake of struggle, disappointments and sorrow we get lost and forget that. Allow this letter to be your reminder to celebrate the good in each moment as we never know what the next moment will bring. Don’t forget about the Day you’re looking forward to, but pop your collar everyday leading up to that special one. At the very least, it allows for happiness to include us rather than chase and elude us.
