An ex employee at Arts Liquor on West 8 Mile & evergreen on the Detroit / Southfield border is blowing the whistle on unsanitary work conditions and customer service at the store. Our viewer, who has only worked at the business for 6 months says she had informed store management about the conditions such as leaks in the kitchen near where food is prepared.
She added, ” Oh not to mention roaches they don’t clean the counters or the pizza trays the tongs that they serve the pizza hasn’t been washed unless I wash them. The only time the counters are clean is when I clean them “
In the few months she worked there, she has informed store management who she says has done nothing about the multiple sanitation issues. She has also called the health department with her concerns but says no one has came out to inspect the business.
Before becoming fed up and quitting her job at the store today, our viewer sent us these images of inside of the icemaker where they make the ice that is sold at the store. The images show mold mixed in with the ice which she says is also on the inside walls of the ice machine which can me smelled pungently when the machine is opened.
Our viewer who was a cashier at the store, says she also witnessed illegal check cashing practices at the store. Some customers where forced to by an item from the store in order to have their check cashed. One man she remembers was forced to order a $20 Chicken pizza which he did not want in order to have his check cashes. 7Mile Radio will be sending anonymous customers and investigators to the store get more info
