It has been reported, one of the officers that was charged in the death of George Floyd, was released from jail on bond Wednesday evening. It was said, that Thomas Lane, age 37, was released from the Hennepin County Jail around 4:08 p.m., after posting a $750,000 bond. Reportedly, Lane was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting in the death of George Floyd about a week ago. Thomas Lane and two other officers were said to have been arrested around the same time and received the same charges, Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng. Derek Chauvin was said to have been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, for kneeling on George Floyd’s neck. All four officers were allegedly fired from the police force. Thomas Lane is expected to be in court June 29th.
