DETROIT, MICHIGAN: A small two-seater single-engine plane crashed in the backyard of a house on Dutchess Street near Morang yesterday afternoon, but thankfully, neither the pilot nor the passenger on board were injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft was flying low in the sky before crashing into an empty backyard. The plane’s wings were damaged, and the engine was still running after the crash. Local residents immediately rushed to the site and contacted the emergency services.
Fortunately, both the pilot and the passenger were able to walk out of the plane without any injuries. The fire department arrived at the scene soon after, and they checked the plane’s fuel for any leakage or fire hazards.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a mechanical failure caused the plane to crash. The National Transportation Safety Board will conduct a formal investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
“We are so relieved that no one was injured in this unfortunate event,” said a local resident who witnessed the crash. “It was a miracle that the plane didn’t hit any of the nearby houses.”
The homeowners of the backyard where the plane crashed were home preparing for bed at the time of the incident. The cause of the crash will be determined by the National Transportation Safety Board’s report, which will be released in the coming weeks.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents about the safety of small aircraft flying over residential areas. The Federal Aviation Administration advises all small aircraft operators to ensure that they follow proper safety procedures and maintain their planes to avoid any untoward incidents during flights.
