A video was circulating on social media, of what seems to be, a young man diving into a lake after a bet. The video shows, what it looks like to be, several young men (including his brother), betting the young man to swim across a lake pond and back. The video gained a lot of momentum on social media. Later, we were able to find out more information on the incident. Reportedly, the incident occurred on Saturday, in Tunica County, Mississippi, at the Cypress Lakes Apartments. It was said, the alleged victims is 19 year old J.W. Ransom II, and he is from Lambert, Mississipi. Reportedly, Ranson tried swimming across the lake pond, and got caught by a dip that was about 30 feet, before reaching the other side. It was said, the teen was in the water for a number of hours before rescuers were able to find him, after draining the pond several feet. Allegedly, the Tunica County Coroners pulled him from the water and he was pronounced dead at the scene. It was told to us, he was graduating High School, and leaves behind a 9 month old baby.
