We are sad to break the news that the the body of one Kayla Swanigan, one of our former interns and daughter of one of our 1st news corespondents Tangle Harris has been identified after a year long missing persons search. Kayla went missing in spring of 2018 after witness say she was seen being forcefully dragged into a car by a man who was later identified as her ex boyfriend. Kayla’s where about has not been known since then until now.The body was found badly burned in an abandon house on Detroit’s East side last year but was only able to be identified from DNA tests which took months to render results. Kayla’s Mother proceeded her in death less than 2 years ago on November 1st 2017 one day before her birthday. You may remember tangle from a powerful news piece we published on May 1st 2014. Tangie and Kayla were very loved by everyone who knew them and will be missed greatly. Our condolences and prayers towards the Harris family during this time of tremendous loss.
