Thursday morning, Jamel Ali contacted us, in regards to the accusations that were posted about him previously that morning. Jamel Ali was accused of allegedly robbing a Kroger employee in Roseville, by riding off with her belongings in the back of his vehicle. Jamel claims, the allegations reported against him are indeed false. He reports, that he has contacted the Roseville Police Department to clear his name of the accusations. Jamel states, he has spoken to Roseville Police, including a detective from the department that has gained footage of the incident in question. He also stated, that allegedly the detective has viewed the footage, and did not see the alleged victim put anything into his vehicle or try to enter the vehicle herself.
Jamel claims, that he just simply canceled the ride and left the scene; because he states the alleged victim came out of the Kroger with an attitude and belligerent, and he did not want that type of energy in his vehicle. He went on to say, the alleged victim may have gotten angry about him canceling the trip, and fabricated a story to tarnish his name. Jamel stated, that he has no interest in dragging the young lady’s name through the mud, as she did his, and is looking forward to moving on from the situation. As of now, there are no charges pending against Jamel Ali, that we are aware of. Later on Thursday, we were contacted again by the mother of the alleged victim.
She is still adamant about the alleged robbery, and claims her daughter was indeed robbed. After hearing Jamel Ali speak on our Facebook Live video broadcast about the topic, she decided to call in. She stated, that she believes her daughter over anyone else. She went on to say, allegedly, that she has a police report and has been in contact with a detective as well, and the investigation is ongoing. The alleged victim’s mother, is reportedly the author of the original Facebook post that gained momentum about this entire situation.
