No Coronavirus Deaths Reported in Detroit

Since the month of March, the city of Detroit has been fluctuating in numbers with the amount of cases and deaths from Coronavirus. Since the outbreak was reported, Detroit has had up to almost twenty-five percent of the Coronavirus cases from the state of Michigan. Detroit has been under a Stay-At-Home Order that was put in place by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, since March. Since the order, there has been reports of numerous gatherings; in which, Gov. Whitmer has issued $1000 tickets to those violating the order. There has also been talk across social media platforms, about parties, fights, street-racing, social gatherings and memorial tributes, during the Stay-At-Home Order. This may be one of the reasons it was rumored the city of Detroit had such a high number of Coronavirus cases and deaths. As of Sunday, May 17th, the City of Detroit has reported no new Coronavirus deaths. This has been the first time since the outbreak, no deaths were reported from Coronavirus in Detroit.
