Second Wave of Coronavirus in China, Shulan on Lockdown

Shulan has been put on lock-down. Shulan is a city in Northeast China, located in Jilin. Reportedly, there are nearly 40 cases of Coronavirus in Shulan, said to have been linked back to a 45 year old woman. Currently, it was reported, Shulan is not allowing residents out of their homes. Only 1 person per household is allowed out to buy essentials necessary for the entire household. Meanwhile, there were nearly 100 reported cases in Jilin, located right outside of Shulan. Here are the totals:

China has now reformed Jilin’s epidemic risk from medium to high. It was reported that residents in Jilin are under quarantine, and schools are closed. It was also reported, that residents are only allowed 2 hours per day to go out for essential items. The Governor of Northeast China’s Jilin Province, Jing Junhai, is implementing strategies to prevent the spread of the virus. Neighboring cities are taking precautions and using preventative measures, in efforts to protect residents from coming into contact with the virus.
