It has been reported, that Zantea Marie Jackson-Pool has been charged with the killings of two of her children from a fatal car crash that occurred on Thursday. It was said, that Jackson-Pool is a 23 year old resident from Ohio, and was in Detroit at the time of the crash. Allegedly, she was in the vehicle, accompanied by 2 adult passengers, and her 3 small children (ages 2, 3, and 5 years old). Reportedly, Jackson-Pool sideswiped a vehicle near Agnes and Field on Detroit’s East-Side. Then, it alleges further, that in her attempts to get away, she then struck another vehicle. It was said, Jackson-Pool’s vehicle flipped over and went off of the road. It went on to say, that Jackson-Pool was driving at a very high rate of speed, and that she is also an unlicensed driver. Reportedly, the children were not restrained whatsoever in the back seat, causing death to the 2 and 3 year old, and serious injury to the 5 year old.

After the crash, it was stated that Jackson-Pool suffered from bone fractures and was treated. Wayne County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy, has charged Jackson-Pool with two counts of reckless driving causing death, two counts of driving while license suspended causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing serious injury, two counts of driving while license suspended causing serious injury, and three counts of second degree child abuse, reportedly. The investigation is still underway. It was said, all others involved in the accident only suffered minor injuries.
