An Evening at a Detroit Park Turns Tragic

It has been reported, that a man presumably in his twenties, jumped into the Detroit River and was unable to be recovered before drowning. Witnesses say, the incident happened Thursday evening at Burns Park near Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. It was said, the victim was enjoying himself at the park, and decided to go for a swim. Witnesses continued to say, after the victim jumped into the water, he did not resurface. Allegedly, after the victim did not resurface, the police were called to the scene. It was said, the police came out in search for the man; but they were unable to recover him in time, and unfortunately, his body was recovered over an hour later.
