It was reported, Tuesday, the television show COPS is being cancelled for good. It was said, Paramount Pictures, which is owned by ViacomCBS, has cancelled the new season for the show that was scheduled to air this month. Reportedly, there are past episodes of the show still running on Pluto TV, owned by ViacomCBS. WGN America, is rumored to be running past episodes as well; but, it was said their contract with the show is expiring this month, and they do not have intentions on renewing. This would have been the show’s 33rd season on air, if Paramount Pictures would have ran the new season that was scheduled to air on June 15th, it was told. Allegedly, the show was cancelled in light of recent events regarding police brutality, such as George Floyd. The TV show COPS aired for 32 seasons on various major television networks.
