Early Morning House Fire Killed 3 People on Detroit’s Eastside

There was a house fire around 12:15 a.m. this morning, on Helen street off of 7 Mile, between Van Dyke and Sherwood on Detroit’s Eastside. The founder and CEO of 7mile Radio, Marc D’Andre, was able to catch some footage and speak with the neighbors. One of the neighbors said, she thought the smell was coming from her kitchen, from something cooking on the stove; she then realized, the smell was coming from outside, and the neighbor’s house was on fire. She went on to say, there was a man and a woman that occupied the home, and nobody knew if they were at home at the time. Firefighters were on the scene, and were able to extinguish the fire. Three male victims were found inside the home deceased. The identity and ages of the victims, and the cause of the fire is unknown. The investigation is ongoing. Here is the footage:
