Tune in as Jovaun helps us dive into the world of financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Opening the
show we quickly discovered, just like many others, that a few of us were not taught about financial
literacy in the home growing up, in high school and even in college. Many of the things we now know
were taught from experience, independent learning, our surroundings and backed by the longing desire
to simply “do and be better”. We conclude that we usually are one step behind our NON-POC
counterparts, but, with better knowledge of money we can soon get ahead of the game. THAT’S BLACK
MONEY, BLACK BUSINESS BABY!

During the brief discussion of would we pick THE PERFECT CREDIT SCORE or 100K, we learned that
Jovaun, with having the knowledge he holds now, would pick the 100k. Jovaun then opens up to us
about how he learned about stocks and investing. Following a few quick gems dropped by Jovaun,
“Investor from Detroit”, he tells us on how his 1 st baby- Confident Brand Clothing- was created. Now just
four years later, he strives to teach others about investing! Listen as he talks about the “WHY”, “HOUSE
HACKING” and “LVMH”.

After Jovaun leaves us to go take of his super cute daughter that he BUYS STOCKS FOR, we continue the
conversation with our new PRETTY DOPE AF co-host Ignite! Ignite brings in background and insight to
what he has learned as he has recently turned 30 and has a new perspective on life. We discover that
the age “30” is a turning point in many lives, but especially male lives. All of 30+ men in the room agreed
to this as well as a few viewers.

Coming to the end of the episode, we reflect on how we, as a podcast and as friends, felt renewed with
great energy and a new co- host. We end the episode with yet another great poem by Ed McLovin, as he
reveals his struggle (just like many others) with depression.
