Artist and Producer, Mark Cooper, sat down and gave an exclusive interview to 7mile Radio. Cooper is from West 7 Mile in Detroit, and he has been in music for around 15 years. He is currently a Nerdcore rapper. Nerdcore rap is a subgenre of hip hop. Cooper expressed, with Nerdcore rap, artists rap about a lot of cartoons, anime, gaming, and parody. He said his music is very clean, and you can play it around your children and family. Cooper explains how having clean music is an advantage; because he doesn’t have to edit profanity before giving it to radio stations, or before it’s used in movie soundtracks. He played one of his recent projects on air during the interview. The song is called ‘Boomerang’, and Crimson Alchemist is featured on the track with Cooper. He also played a worldwide cypher during the interview, and several great Detroit artists are featured on the cypher with him. Cooper says the name of the group is ‘Team Backpack’. He featured one cypher during the interview, but he said there is a second cypher currently available, and a third on the way.
